INL hosted 95 postdocs in FY-21, a 42% jump from 2020.Postdoc of the YearBor-Rong (Hypo) Chen was named INLs 2021 Postdoctoral Researcher of the Year. She works in the Energy Storage Technology group focusing on the development of a framework that combines materials science and machine learning to predict the lifetime and aging mechanisms of lithium-ion batteries. Chen has a Ph.D. from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Northwestern University and a bachelors degree from National Taiwan University. Before joining INL, she was a postdoctoral researcher at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory.13'
